FAQs
I’m looking for a mostly remote role but I’m happy to commute to the office whenever it makes sense for collaboration. I’ve worked remotely for a while now, so I’m very comfortable managing my time and prioritise independently. That said, I really value the chance to connect with people, whether that’s grabbing a coffee with the team or jumping on a call with users. I do like people :)
I’m definitely a self-starter and generally a high performer so expect me to spot opportunities for improvement and take initiative, especially when it comes to streamlining processes or refining existing systems.
When I’m working, I like to focus on the bigger picture: What are we trying to achieve? How does this align with the business goals? How will it affect the user experience? I love open discussions about what’s working and what’s not, both internally and with users.
And fair warning: I’m big on flow diagrams, so don’t be surprised if you start seeing a few of those pop up in our shared docs.
I’m a strong believer in communicating early and often. Teams that prioritise open, honest communication tend to build trust faster—and that’s what leads to long-term success.
I really value building relationships beyond just my immediate team. Whether it’s engineers, product managers, or other stakeholders, I make an effort to treat everyone with the same level of respect, curiosity, and trust.
I’ve worked closely with cross-functional teams throughout my career, especially engineering and other technical roles. I enjoy digging into technical constraints and opportunities together—it helps make more informed decisions and spot the right solutions early.
When it comes to design, I bring zero ego to the table. I’m always open to feedback and discussion, because alignment and collaboration are essential to solving the right problems in the best way possible.
My design process is collaborative based on curiosity and focused on impact. I start by understanding the business goals and user needs—then dig into the challenge to explore the best way forward. I like mapping out flows early to align thinking, and talk to users early and often to keep everyone grounded in real needs.
I believe that testing should happen at every stage—from rough ideas to polished designs—so we’re constantly learning and improving. I aim to keep the process lean and efficient, always purposeful and grounded in the needs of the user.
Figma is my main design tool, and I’m comfortable presenting ideas at any level of fidelity, whether sketching quick concepts or building out detailed prototypes. I regularly use FigJam to map flows, collaborate with teams, and align on direction.
I’ve also worked with tools like Lyssna and UserTesting to gather user insights, and I’m experienced with platforms like Hotjar, Pendo, and Mixpanel to help track behaviour and measure impact.
While I’m not a developer, I am familiar with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, which helps me design within real technical constraints and communicate effectively with engineering teams.
I'm excited about the "AI evolution" in equal measure. I believe it's going to help us accelerate delivery in many areas although the idea that it could replace humans worries me, mainly because of the people who genuinely believe that.
Lately, I’ve been experimenting with tools like Figma Make, Lovable, UX Pilot, and ChatGPT, and I’m excited about the opportunities they create for faster, more adaptive design. Does it always work? Not really, most of the time, it doesn’t. Do I want to create an app through Lovable all by myself? Absolutely!

A little bit about me
A storyteller at heart weaving narratives that live through every product experience.

Hello there, I'm Koula ( pronounced Cool+a) 🙂
I was born and raised in Athens, Greece and currently enjoying rural Norfolk and more specifically the tiny city of Norwich.
A generalist designer at heart, I began my design career as a traditional print designer who quickly moved to digital design. For the past eight years, I’ve been crafting user experiences and I feel like I have really find my passion in the intersection of design and research and especially when I’m tasked to solve challenges. I love puzzles and grey areas.
I bring a holistic approach to design, seeing the bigger picture and ensuring every element contributes to the overall experience. With expertise in both UX and UI, I’ve spent the last few years evolving my craft, leading research initiatives, and collaborating across teams to create designs that align user needs with business objectives.
I thrive in dynamic environments, tackling challenges head-on to craft intuitive solutions that balance innovation and practicality. Whether this is maintaining and evolving design systems, advocating for accessibility, or staying on the cutting edge of design practices, I aim to create visually stunning interfaces that make emotional connections with users.
Collaboration is my superpower, I enjoy and seek to work closely with product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders, as I deeply value the diversity of perspectives that drive great design and I have found that this is the only way in shaping joyful experiences.
My personality type is ENFJ-T, a so called Pragmatist. My friends think that I’m a hopeless romantic so data is conflicted there and more research is needed.
When I don't design, I’m a hobby collector, an enthusiastic gardener, and a sun seeker.
